NELLA GALLERIA VITTORIO EMANUELE II

Designed by Italian architect Giuseppe Mengoni in the late XIX century, the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery is a perfect example of how architecture works for society. By then, the bourgeois class, a rising class with new needs, had not any such space to buy and spend some time. That is how commercial galleries were born, and this one -fancy as no other- was of course among the first ones.
Nowadays, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is the place where Milano's most luxurious boutiques meet, having Versace, Louis Vuitton, Prada... just face to face. Not to forget that this gallery is also a connection pathway between the famous Piazza del Duomo, and the Piazza della Scala, where the Teatro alla Scala, the most prestigious opera house in the world, rises flamboyantly.
Hope you enjoyed the post, and of course, feel free to share any thoughts.

Have a good week.
